I. Product Introduction
Lydorflam 5009 is a new type of phosphorus-nitrogen halogen-free flame retardant suitable for polyolefins, integrating acid source, carbon source, and gas source to achieve flame retardant effect through carbonization and expansion mechanisms. Polyolefins flame-retarded with Lydorflam 5009 do not contain halogen elements or heavy metal elements, and the flame-retardant products have characteristics such as low density and low smoke generation.

1. Lydorflam 5009 has a relatively low volume density, and the dispersion of the flame retardant plays a key role in the flame retardant effect and processability of the product. To achieve better results, it is recommended to add an appropriate amount of dispersant in the formulation system to improve the dispersion and processability of the flame retardant;
2. The volume density of the flame retardant is relatively low, and a suitable melt flow index resin can effectively coat the flame retardant; it is recommended to choose medium to high melt index resins as the substrate.
3. The flame retardant works through expansion and carbonization mechanisms, and any inorganic mineral fillers that destroy the flame retardant mechanism will affect the flame retardancy;
4. Choose a reasonable processing temperature to avoid the decomposition of the flame retardant under high temperature conditions; it is recommended that the processing temperature be between 180~190℃, and the screen at the die head should be removed.
